Chris has 25 + years as an Executive Chef working in restaurants, hotels, and healthcare environments. He began his career in the United States Navy, and has a passion for customer service. He interacts well with our residents and responds positively to all constructive feedback. Chris utilizes his creativity when planning holiday and family events. He is very friendly and loves to engage the residents and their family members in conversation.

Deana Reed

Deana Reed is the Activity and Social Director of The Inn at Belden Village. She attended Malone College and Oral Roberts University. She is daughter of Dr. C. Herschel Gammill, founder of The Inn. Prior to accepting her position here, she pastored Voice for Christ Church in Rushville, Indiana. Besides being a very creative and talented activity & social director, Deana is an incredibly gifted singer and has traveled all over the world as a crusade singer for world renowned evangelists. Her very versatile voice earned her runner up in a Patsy Cline look and sing alike competition in Nashville, Tennessee. Deana loves working to enhance and celebrate the lives of our residents. Outside of work, she enjoys her dog Dixie, her family, spending time with her friends, ministering the Word and leading worship at Cathedral of Life.

Nan Gammill

Nan Gammill, Executive Director and wife of Senior Pastor Dana Gammill worked diligently with Dr. C. Herschel Gammill and Pastor Dana Gammill in founding The Inn at Belden Village for Cathedral of Life Ministries, Inc. in 1999. Nan graduated with a degree in Elementary Education from Oral Roberts University then did post graduate work in Administration at both Kent University and Malone College.She received her training in long term care from The Inn’s Management Group of Newark, Ohio. She is the proud mother of three wonderful children and loves playing the piano, singing, the outdoors and most of all, the privilege of serving as Executive Director of The Inn at Belden Village and administrator of Cathedral of Life Ministries. She considers it a privilege and honor to serve the wonderful residents, its not just a job to her, it’s her passion and her mission.

Deborah Sims

Deborah Sims has served as The Inn’s Business Director since it opened in November 2000. She received her business training at Stark State College and prior to coming to the Inn owned and operated her own business, Integrity Bookkeeping Services. Her integrity and character reflect in all she does at The Inn. Deborah oversees human resources and assists residents and their families with their billing. Her hobbies include teaching line dancing, singing and serving actively in her church. Deborah’s favorite thing about working at The Inn is the atmosphere: its Christ centered focus and care driven mission. She’s proud to be part of a team the really cares for their residents.

Deana Vrabel RN, C.D.C.P.

Deana Vrabel RN, is the Director of Resident Services. She received her nursing education from Massillon City Hospital School of Nursing in 1974. Deana has worked in hospital settings, home health care, longterm care and skilled nursing facilities in the past.

Deana enjoys reading, snow skiing, soduko puzzles, baking, flower gardening, playing board games, long walks and bike rides on the beach. She knows how important it is to have fun in your life and enjoys helping others to enjoy life as well.

She, along with her husband of 31 years have proudly raised three successful children. She is the proud mother-in-law to her son’s wife and Nana to her grandchild.

Deana takes great pride in the nursing team at The INN who truly do care for each and every resident with the utmost dignity and respect.

Melissa Surratt

Melissa Surratt came to The Inn at Belden Village in January of 2006. She studied art and design at Ohio University, then graduated from Cuyahoga College with a degree in Business Management. After raising children she became a real estate broker for a local firm. She’s been in the sales and marketing field for over twenty-one years. She is personally acquainted with the problems associated with elderly parents and their friends, and the struggles families go through in caring for them. Melissa is very involved in many support groups for the elderly in Stark County, including The Alzheimer’s Association and Stark County Council on Aging. Melissa is passionate about being an advocate for our residents and other seniors who need assistance. Mother of four boys and proud grandmother of two beautiful granddaughters, Melissa enjoys her family, fishing, history, politics, the outdoors, art and especially people. She is very knowledgeable in her field and always ready and willing to help.

Greg Gamache

Greg Gamache is the Director of Maintenance and Safety Director at The Inn. He is a local Canton resident who has worked in the construction and maintenance field for 20 years. With a seminary background, Pastoral duties and years of nursing home and assisted living ministry experience, Greg is a perfect fit for The Inn at Belden Village. Greg shares the faith-based care mission of founder, Dr. C Herschel Gammill which is to celebrate each resident’s life in style.
In addition to the importance of the upkeep and maintenance duties here at the Inn, Greg finds it just as important to be a daily encouragement to the residents themselves. Knowing the care and grace needed to take care of his own relatives, who also needed elderly care, helps to give personal meaning to his duties here.
