So many of our residents are mothers so it's important to give them a fun and special day to be honored. We strive to make the residents experience all the glamour of being in a runway fashion show. Each of the mothers pick out a special outfit to wear as they are escorted down the runway by one of the awesome firemen from the Plain Township Fire Department. With Debbie's guidance, the entire assisted living facility is decked out with beautiful flowers, balloons and more. Every year our Mother's Day event has a different theme such as "Hats Off for Mother's Day" or "Breakfast at Tiffany's for Mother's Day". This year's theme was "You're Such a Doll". The theme was very fitting considering all the ladies were all dolled up! Each mother picked out their own outfit from a local clothing stores like Encore and Marshall's to name a few. The Inn at Belden Village decided 10 years ago that our annual fashion shows should also be a fundraiser for a charity that is very near and dear to our hearts; The Alzheimer's Association. Although we never charge a penny for our events, we decided to have a raffle to raise money. Many local vendors contributed baskets and other items that we put up for raffle and the results were spectacular. Just from the Annual Mother's Day Fashion Show, we have raised thousands of dollars for The Alzheimer's Association. We are excited to say that this year's Annual Mother's Day event was a huge success. Not only did we raise money for The Alzheimer's Association, but our residents had a blast. We want to thank the Plan Township Fire Department for being such great escorts and putting happy smiles on our residents' faces.
