Annual Western Night, a favorite around our facility, was held in our new Memory Care Wing on September 27th and it was a total success! Executive Director Nan Gammill and Activity Director Debbie Brindack made excellent hosts for the evening and pulled together the whole event from entertainment and decorations to food and drinks. [caption id="attachment_1602" align="alignright" width="229"] Kathy Staaf leading a line dance with the residents[/caption] There's no party without some music! Entertainment for the evening was provided by Dede Reed who sang songs from the great country singer Patsy Cline. The country songs were the perfect touch for Western Night, and the residents really enjoyed hearing songs from "back in the day". You can't have a Western Night without line dancing, so our Assistant Activities Director Kathy Staaf led the way for our residents. Not only does line dancing look confusing, but it actually is! Kathy was a great teacher, however, and the residents were excellent troopers and looked awesome out on the dance floor. We had a great turnout and the whole Memory Care Wing was filled with happy, smiling people. If you haven't gotten a chance yet to tour the newly remodeled areas of our facility, including the Memory Care Wing, you can view photos and read about the grand re-opening here.
