The Inn at Belden Village senior assisted living facility is always thinking of fun, creative activities for our residents. Our Activities Director Debbie Brindack always brings her A-game when planning our parties, and we are so lucky to have such a creative mind on our team. Western Night was the activity of the month, held on Monday, September 28 and it was a huge success!
Our residents look forward to Western Night every year, and this year was no exception. A change of venue brought a little extra excitement this year. Western Night was held at the Cathedral of Life church due to the renovations going on in our facility, which we are so excited about. Residents were transported over to the church and lots of guests showed up. All together there were more than 200 people who attended the party, which is a great turn out. It just goes to show how many loving family members our residents have.
The Cathedral of Life church was decorated beautifully by Debbie Brindack and her staff, Kathy and Judy. Decorations included cow printed balloons, bandanas, cowboy hats, and even a fake jail! They really went all out to make the church look special for our residents. Plenty of food kept the residents full and happy, and the entertainment was a hoot. The Stockdale Family Duet performed for us and they were a big hit with the residents. We so appreciate them playing for us.
Most importantly, Western Night allowed us to raise over $300 for The Alzheimer’s Association by raffling off $100 in gift cards and playing Bingo at $5 a ticket. It is important to us here at The Inn at Belden Village to support The Alzheimer’s Association as much as we can since some of our residents are affected by the disease.
Overall, the residents were very pleased with Western Night and we managed to raise money for a good cause. We consider that a night well spent. The Inn at Belden Village would like to give a big thanks to everyone who made Western Night possible, especially to the 300 guests who brought so much laughter and fun to the party.
