The Inn at Belden Village Groundbreaking

The Inn at Belden Village is excited to announce that we will be making a lot of exciting changes at our facility. On Monday, July 6, 2015 we held a groundbreaking ceremony to honor our new project and share with our residents and the public what our plans are. It was a fun and successful event filled with prayer, fun, and food, and it got us even more excited for the new additions.

Coming Soon

We will be adding a huge addition to our facility that will yield 10 new rooms for the residents and allow for more activities and space for them. The additional rooms for residents will increase our revenue, in turn allowing us to hire more staff members, something we have been wanting to do for a while now.

Other new additions will include an activity center, a new theater, an expanded dining room, an updated health and wellness center, and an updated therapy room.

The current lounge will transition into both a craft room and a game room with billiards, foosball, and many more fun games. Many of our women residents enjoy making crafts, so we want to give them a large space where they can create. The men will also get their own “man cave” featuring an 80” flat screen TV and additional entertainment pieces.

Engaging in activities like billiards, foosball, and crafting is great for our residents to socialize and get out of their rooms. Often times seniors get in the habit of secluding themselves from others and staying in their rooms, but we believe socialization and physical activity are essential to good physical and mental health, and we want only the best for our residents.

The Goal

Our main goal in making all these exciting changes and additions is to make our senior living facility even more comfortable for our residents. We’ve always tried to make it feel like home at The Inn at Belden Village, but now our facility will be even more comfortable and functional.

Color Makes Happy

Assisted Living New Wing Color BoardsNan Gammill, our CEO and Executive Director at The Inn at Belden Village was very excited to announce at the ceremony that we will be incorporating a lot more color into both the new wing and throughout the existing facility, as well as updating the decor throughout.  According to Nan, “Color makes happy”. Everybody knows a little color can brighten up a room, and sometimes our residents just need something to brighten their spirits.

There were design boards set up with a collage of swatches of fabric and other materials that will be going into the new design. The boards featured a lot of great patterns and colors including varying shades of red, orange, yellow, and brown that will definitely bring some livelihood into the building.

Thank You!

The Inn at Belden Village would like to specially thank those who attended the groundbreaking ceremony, including all the Cathedral of Life trustees, Martini Construction Company, the JBA architects, Thoma-Holec Design of Mesa, Arizona, our founders Dr. and Mrs. C. Herschel Gammill, and the entire Inn at Belden Village team. This has been and will continue to be a successful collaborative effort and we can’t wait for our new additions!
