What conditions are beyond The Inn at Belden Village’s scope of care?
The Inn at Belden Village cannot care for a person that…
- is bedfast and cannot be ambulated by the assistance of one person upon admission.
- requires skilled care services beyond medication administration, simple diets, and simple dressings for more than 120 days in a rolling year. For example: we cannot take care of someone who needs IV therapy, is on a respirator or that has a Stage III or greater pressure ulcer.
- requires chemical or physical restraints for management of aggression or safety.
- requires complex therapeutic diet such as a very restrictive calorie count.
Please note, however, that the The Inn under the supervision of a licensed dietician can puree, cut up and thicken liquids and does provide for the following diets:
- Low Concentrated Sugar
- Low Sodium
- High Fiber
- Low Cholesterol.
Other conditions that may prevent admission may not be included here. Prior to admission, a registered nurse will conduct an assessment of a candidate for residency. If you have further questions regarding appropriateness for placement, please contact us and we will be happy to assist you.
